The mission of the Graduate Institute of Gerontology and Health Care Management is to create a professional academic institute for the management of health promotion and gerontological health care. It horizontally links resources from the Formosa Plastics Group (FPG), Chang Gung Medical Foundation (CGMF), and neighborhood schools' community resources.

Furthermore, the Institute leverages existing resources in order to strengthen its foundations and expand its advantages, in order to cultivate advanced gerontological health care professionals that satisfy the requirements of Taiwanese society.

The graduate programs have the following five features:

• The Graduate Institute of Health Care cultivates advanced professionals in elderly and preventive care.
• The institute provides abundant teaching resources and an integrated faculty from various health care fields, such as health promotion, health care, health behavior, elderly care, long-term care, health policy, etc.
• The institute collaborates with Formosa Industries, Chang Gung Medical Foundation, health care institutions, and other industrial organizations to provide internships for students to gain experience in practical health care skills as well as bridge the gap between theory and practice.
• The institute promotes industry-academia cooperation and develops practical research.
• The institute is located in the Linkou campus.

》Vision

Our vision is to foster advanced professionals in health promotion and gerontological health care in Taiwan. After students are certified as professionals of health promotion and gerontological health care, they can work as occupational health nurses in FPG and hospitals, health promotion managers, health administrators, care manager or supervisors, home care officers, or long-term agency operators, etc.
